The head of the Egyptian Center Ahmed Sami Elaidi, the author of the book Ahmed Tarabek, the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Egypt Emil Rahimov, historian Boram Aziz, writer Yunus Oghuz, chairman of “The Karabakh war disabled, veterans and martyrs’ families” Public Union Etimad Asadov, author of the patriotic songs Shamistan Alizamanli, military journalist Ibrahim Ibadoglu, head of the "Voice of Karabakh" magazine published in Russian, Gadir Nasirov, and contributor to the Karabakh newspaper Antiga Rashid were among those who spoke at the event. According to them, the fact that an expert on the issues related to the regions of Central Asia and Caucasus has brought to the fore the geography and history of the Nagorno-Karabakh region as well as the conflict in this region and the ways of its resolution is an event of political and cultural importance to the 23 Arab countries with 500 million population.

The first chapter of a 456-page book tells about the geography and history of an ancient Azerbaijani land of Nagorno-Karabakh, its language, religion and culture, natural resources, economy, historical stages Karabakh has gone through, including during the Arab-Islamic caliphate period.

The second chapter is about the causes behind the Nagorno-Karabakh conflcit, the war, the massacres committed by the Armenian armed forced against the Azerbaijani civilians, the Khojaly massacre, the Bloody January, and the acts of terrorism and violence directed against the people of Azerbaijan.

The third chapter is dedicated to the peace talks over the conflict and the ways of its resolution, the activities of the Minsk group, and the futility of the talks due to Armenia’s unconstructive stance.

It shoul be mentioned that “Karabakh as the path of peace in the Caucasus” is published with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Egypt.
