For your information, since 2011, the International Eurasia Press Fund, in partnership with the UNICEF Azerbaijan, has been implementing “Azerbaijan Youth Advocate Program” which is one of the most successful projects so far. The main objective of the project was to raise awareness on the challenges of the modern world amongst the youth in the region, to enhance their skills and knowledge as well as leadership skills and to increase their active participation in decision making process. The goals of the project also included to succeed in better and purposefully using the capacity of those youth and adolescents.

The project has been implemented in Azerbaijan since 2011. First phase of the project was conducted in 7 regions of western Azerbaijan: Agdam, Agjabedi, Berda, Beylagan, Terter, Yevlax and Goranboy. Taking into account of the successful implementation of the project, the scope of activities has been widened, involving 14 regions including Goygol, Naftalan, Ganja, Fizuli, Khojavand, Mingachevir, Agdash, Ucar, Lachin, Zardab, Imishli, Saatli, Kurdamir and Shirvan.

As a pilot project, the program also aims to implement the provisions of "Azerbaijan 2020: A Look into the Future" Development Concept, relating to the youth.

We believe that the next phase of the AYAP will include the challenges and goals to be enshrined in the CPD and Theory of Change for 2016-2020.
