During the meeting, International Peace Bureau has focused on the future activity of the Bureau including fund raising, partnerships, working strategies new programs and several other important aspects.
In addition, 3rd of October in 2016, International Peace Bureau election was held in Berlin. IPB has elected the Co-Presidents, Treasurer, Steering Committee, the Regional Representatives of the Bureau for the next three years. Reiner Braun and Lisa Clark have been elected the Co-Presidents of IPB from 2016 till 2019. Founder and Chairman of the International Eurasia Peace Fund (IEPF) Umud Mirzayev have been elected as the representatives of the Western Asian countries for the next three years.
IBP has a long and fascinating history that falls into three main phases, each reflecting stage in the development of the 20th century peace movement.IPB has founded in 1891-1892, as a result of consultation at the Universal Peace Congress. Many significant peace movements personalities are associated with this prestigious organization.
The International Peace Bureau is dedicated to the vision of a World Without War. Over the years we have worked on a wide range of peace promotion topics, including nuclear weapons, arms trade and other aspects of disarmament; peace education and culture of peace; women and peacemaking; peace history; as well as related themes such us international law and human rights.
