He said that nowadays displaced people faced fewer problems in Azerbaijan that in other countries due to result that numerous works and essential projects have been implemented in this filed. In addition, Mr. Mirzayev noted that the International Eurasia Press Fund included in working group that was established by UNHCR in order to deal with refugees’ problems. In this group the IEPF try to indicate micro-credit programs and vocational trainings that are more suitable for displaced people’s living conditions. Under the framework of this program, the International Eurasia Press Fund have aim to assess displaced people’s needs and avail them with improving their capabilities to develop their own living standards.
The International Eurasia Press Fund has been collaborating with some international institutions-IOM, UNHCR, as well as State Committee for Family, Woman and Child of the Republic of Azerbaijan for realizing this function effectively.
Later, priority international projects of the IEPF were presented for Mr. Angelis. Mr. Angelis appreciated presentations and the activities of IEPF; also he noted that the head of the Azerbaijani government realize many works for the development of living conditions of refugees and displaced persons in every year.
The chief of IEPF was pleased with meeting, he again said that his organization will strive for paying more attention on refugees’ problems and asylum-seekers and will evaluate the role and necessity of media in this field. The IEPF will continue to hold the strategy on cooperating with media to adopt decisions in regard to solve problems of refugees and displaced people.
