President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva paid a visit to the office of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF). Gunay Afandiyeva met with the IEPF President Umud Mirzayev and talked about the necessity of establishment Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. She said that the strategic relationships that have been formed and developed for the last decades between Turkic countries  creates a fertile ground for expanding the cooperation between fraternal countries.
 
Thus, international organizations and unions such as Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council), International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries (TurkPA), International Turkic Academy (ITA), and Council of Elders of Turkic-speaking countries have been established. At the same time, newly established Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and Center of Nomadic Civilizations which is planned to be set up in Kyrgyzstan along with other Turkic-speaking organizations serve the forming of the spiritual connections between Turkic-speaking countries.
 
Amid existing of double standards the main priorities for the Foundation is to carry out joint projects for promotion the culture and heritage of Turkic-speaking people in the Turkish World and all around the globe.
 
Umud Mirzayev highly praised the activity of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and informed Gunay Afandiyeva about the history, multi-sided activity of the IEPF and multiple projects implemented by  this organziation. 
 
He said that the International Eurasia Press Fund is an independent non-governmental organization, established in Azerbaijan in 1992. Since 2014, the organization has General Consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
 
IEPF President said that his organization closely cooperates with different UN agencies, US Department of State, European Commission, World Bank, Press Institute, Federation of International Journalists, Embassies of foreign countries in Azerbaijan, ministries, agencies, local and international NGOs.
 
Both sides exchanged the views on the issues regarding future collaboration. 
 
There was a decision to make preparations for signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between two organizations in the near future.
