The delegation from Uzbekistan consisting of writers and journalists has arrived in Baku. Their trip to Azerbaijan was initiated by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Haydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan and the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF). The delegation firstly was in the IEPF office and met with the organization’s President Umud Mirzayev. Raising awareness of the guests about the activity of the organization Mr. Mirzayev expressed his willingness that their trip will be productive in terms of seeing of Azerbaijan’s realities. 
 
Note that the aim of the visit is to inform the Uzbek society about Azerbaijan - its regions, culture, tourism potential, civil society, Armenia –Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict and ethnic cleansing policy of Armenia against Azerbaijanis, as well as improving relations between Uzbekistani and Azerbaijani media and support for the development of mutual collaboration.
 
The delegation consists of the well-known writer-journalist and editor in chief of leading news site “Darakhchi” Rustam Jabbarov, founder and editor in chief of the “Uzbekistan Today” news agency  Dilbar Babajanova, editor in chief of the “1news.uz” Shukhratjon Oripov, editor in chief of the “kultura.uz Boris Babayev, a journalist of the State Television of Uzbekistan Elmira Tukhtavatulina, a journalist from “102 FM” of Uzbekistan Rimma Sabirjanova, a journalist of the “Family channel” of Uzbekistan Shahla Gasimova, and a commentator of many news sites of Uzbekistan Abduvali Soibnazarov. 
 
Today the guests had a meeting in the Press Council, and they plan to visit to the frontline regions of Azerbaijan. They are expected to meet with the leading mass media outlets of Azerbaijan as well.
