Today, President of International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) Umud Mirzayev met with a member of Board and International Relations of the Somali Najat Foundation Ahmed Jama.
 
Ahmed Jama came to Azerbaijan to get familiar with the country and also discuss the possibility of partnership and cooperation with International Eurasia Press Fund in order to promote sustainable development in Somalia.  
 
Ahmed Jama talked about the major problems facing Somalia today and how the government tries to overcome them. He mentioned broad experience of the International Eurasia Press Fund in work on community and civil society development as well as its work with refugees and IDPs. He also expressed the will to work with journalists in Somalia, so they can come to Azerbaijan to get experience which can be applied in their work when they are back to homeland.
 
Ahmed Jama and Umud Mirzayev discussed perspectives for long-term cooperation.
 
U. Mirzayev said as an international NGO in General Consultative status with UN ECOSOC and with a broad experience of implementation humanitarian projects, IEPF is interested in expansion of its work in African states.
 
The sides agreed to form a partners​​​​​​​​​​​​hip on cultural side, education, youth development, media and work with IDPs.
 
Somali Najat Foundation is a foundation which was established to promote living standards of the rural and urban communities particularly the affected sites by wars and droughts in Somalia. Somali Najat Foundation has various Youth Development Programs (Physical development, Intellectual development, Psychological and emotional development). The foundation supports cultural education; public health; agricultural developments; orphans assistance. It also helps internally displaced people (IDPs) who were affected by wars and droughts through providing shelters, medical and health services, and water wells drillings.
