Today Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the most prestigious university of Azerbaijan - ADA and the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF). 
 
Vice Rector of ADA University Fariz Ismailzade and the President of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev signed the document. 
 
Addressing in the event, vice rector of ADA University Fariz Ismailzade stated that ADA University successfully continues its productive cooperation with the IEPF in recent years. 
 
ADA and IEPF jointly implement various projects and organize various conferences, forums, trips and events.
 
Talking about mutual projects successfully implemented so far, Fariz Ismailzade remembered the trip of  the Nobel Peace Price Laureate Muhammad Yunus to Azerbaijan and the conference titled “Inter-religious tolerance and the role of media” that was co-organized by ADA University, IEPF, Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan, and State Committee on Religious Associations of Azerbaijan.
 
Moreover, the documentary film containing the truth about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, “Ateshkes” (Ceasefire) produced by the IEPF and financed by the Council on the State Support to the Non-Governmental Organizations under the Auspices of the President of Azerbaijan was presented I ADA University. The film previously was presented in Baltic and Eastern European countries and has already obtained a big audience. 
 
The last joint project between ADA and IEPF was the trip of 21 local and international students to the war affected regions of Azerbaijan on 17-18 June. During two-day trip students got the opportunity to visit Ashaghy Abdurrahmanly village of Fuzuli district, Jojug Marjanly village of the Jabrail region and Hasangaya, Shikharkh villages of Tartar. 
 
Fariz Ismailzade highly appreciated the efforts of the IEPF President Umud Mirzayev in dealing with these issues and underlined that signature of the Memorandum of Understanding with the NGO working with civil society is the first time in the history of ADA.
 
Expressing his gratitude to Fariz Ismailzade for his good comments, IEPF President Umud Mirzayev stated that the Fund that was registered in 1992 has already built good cooperation with the most prestigious international organizations in the world. 
 
IEPF did a great job on dissemination of the truth about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, elimination of damage caused by the war, solution of the problems of IDPs and refugees and development of the local media. 
 
In parallel, the IEPF works on the formation of the civil society, implementation of innovative ideas, and stimulation of relations development between the government and civil society in Azerbaijan. 
 
IEPF appreciates its cooperation with ADA University, especially in the field of working with students. During the last two years, IEPF organized several lectures of the foreign experts as well as various training for the students in order to improve their experience and skills. In addition, various trips of interactions students and teachers of ADA University to the frontline regions of Azerbaijan were organized by the IEPF. It was an opportunity for them to meet and talk with IDPs and refugees and get acquaintance with their living conditions. 
 
Today, ADA students are getting internship program at the IEPF office. During some months the interns learn how to prepare proposals, write reports and conduct different surveys on concrete topics. At the same time, the students get practical skills while working for international analytical information gateway “Eurasia Diary” operating in five languages. Some of the interns wrote articles for Eurasia Diary and after careful edition, the articles had been published. Those who successfully completed their internship have been certified by the IEPF.
 
IEPF President said that he is proud by Azerbaijani citizens studying at ADA University and added that the signature of memorandum is a new opportunity for development of bilateral cooperation, including the development of civil society in Azerbaijan. 
 
IEPF President concluded that the day of the Memorandum’s signature is also a remarkable day because it coincides with the date of the World Teachers’ Day.
