UNICEF International Expert Elayn Sammon visited the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF).
IEPF President Umud Mirzayev welcomed the guest and informed her about the projects implemented by the IEPF and UNICEF within the framework of joint cooperation.
“One of those projects is “Azerbaijan Youth Advocate Program” carried out by the International Eurasia Press Fund and funded by the UNICEF in 21 regions of Azerbaijan. This project brought together more than 1500 young people to improve their project management skills in ecological, self-development, employment and other fields in the regions.”
Umud Mirzayev informed Elayn Sammon about the activity of the IEPF Vocational Training Center located in Tartar region as well as about the work of the IEPF in the war-affected regions.
Elayn Sammon was also informed about the IEPF membership in different international organizations, different projects and programs aimed at youth development.
During the meeting they also discussed the future prospects for cooperation.
Elayn Sammon also became acquainted with the activity of Eurasia Diary, International Analytical Information Gateway.
Youth and Adolescent Development Specialists at UNICEF Azerbaijan, Aida Ailarova and Natig Umarov also attended the meeting.
