On March 22nd the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Brazil hosted the participants of the 8th World Water Forum from Azerbaijan, which is taking place in Brasilia city from 17 to 23 March, and organized a nice event in the framework of Novruz holiday celebration. The representatives of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) Umud Mirzayev and Anastasia Lavrina, Director of GIWEH-Global Institute for Water Environment and Health Nidal Salim as well as the representatives of the Azarsu water institution, other organizers of the forum, including Deputy Head of the Amelioration and Water Management JSC Kenan Abdullayev and Deputy Director of the Scientific Research and Design Institute "Sukanal" Farda Imanov attended the event organized by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Brazil Elkhan Polukhov.
The Ambassador welcomed the guests and congratulated everybody on the occasion of Novruz holiday. He said that it is a family holiday and he is very happy to see people from Azerbaijan at the Embassy.
The guests talked about their experience at the Forum and future perspectives for the cooperation. Participation in the biggest water-related Forum is a big chance to get new partners and raise an issue about the occupation of Sarsang water reservoir, which is currently under the Armenian occupation.
After a traditional Azerbaijani dinner, the guests enjoyed the Novruz fire.
