The International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) will carry out election observation mission in presidential election in Azerbaijan. Representatives of IEPF have already joined to the election observation process. Twenty members of IEPF in observation mission began to assess pre-election situation in Barda, Tartar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Beylagan, Goychay, Aghdash districts and Baku and Sumgayit cities. 
 
In this regard, on April 7, the delegation held a discussion on the evaluation of pre-election process, voter turnout, coverage of elections in mass media, as well as coordination of the observation mission with the Central Election Committee and the principles of observation. 
 
The President of IEPF and Head of the Election Observation Mission Umud Mirzayev said that it is provided with the equal opportunities and fair conditions for electors, civil society organizations and international organizations in terms of freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, as well as operating independently in the pre-election period. He also mentioned that the works regarding the awareness of voters on election process, accreditation of mass media and the compilation of voter lists have been successfully implemented. 
 
Meanwhile, last time IEPF was a co-founder of the “Election-2008” NGO Coalition and observed election with its election mission in 1457 voting stations of 59 constituencies in presidential election in 2008.
