“On April 11, presidential election in Azerbaijan was held in accordance with international standards and in democratic conditions,” the Head of the Election Observation Mission of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) in Azerbaijan Umud Mirzayev told sechki-2018.azweb site. 
 
According to him, citizens actively took part in the election and no any illegal campaign and any pressure on the voters was observed during the observation period. 
 
“Based on the results of our observation, we can say that the voting stations were opened in time and all observers were provided with the equal condition to carry out their mission. In the early hours of the morning, we observed the turnout of those who wanted to vote in the polling stations.”
 
Umud Mirzayev said that the vote counting process was conducted transparently and no serious violations recorded in the election. 
 
“The representatives of mass media and TV channels were provided with the opportunity to give information regularly in the polling stations,” he added. 
 
Meanwhile, IEPF carried out election observation mission in 249 voting stations of 29 constituencies in the country. Full report of the Election Observation Mission will be available to the public.
