The scope of the project: the territory of 11 districts of Azerbaijan liberated from the Armenian occupation and affected by the war - Fizuli, Beylagan, Agjabedi, Aghdam, Terter, Geranboy, Khanlar, Gedabek, Tovuz, Aghstafa and Gazakh.
 
The aim of the project is to identify mine victims in settlements liberated from the Armenian occupation and affected by the war in Azerbaijan and to identify dangerous areas (areas contaminated with mines and unexploded ordnance).
 
Results: During the survey, 74,809 people were interviewed in 629 villages and 23 fields located in 11 districts of Azerbaijan. As a result of the information provided by the population, 84 minefields with a total area of 49,808,806 square meters and 85 battlefields with an area of 830,280 m2 were discovered.
 
The largest mine-hazardous territories were identified in Agdam (1824 thousand square meters) and Geranboy (11615.6 thousand square meters). The survey
revealed 1,222 mine victims in 11 districts. 364 of them died. With the implementation of the program, a mobile group was formed on the basis of the foundation to participate in future mine action.
