General Information / Organizational context: The International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) is an independent international non-governmental organization established in 1992 and is a member of the United Nations with Consultative Status. IEPF cooperates with UN agencies such as UNDP, UNHCR, UNICEF, US State Department, European Commission, World Bank, International Press Institute, NATO, embassies of a number of foreign countries in the Republic of Azerbaijan, ministries, agencies, as well as local and international non-governmental organizations in the region operates within. IEPF Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution; Social development; Problems of refugees and IDPs; Development of the press and civil society; and implements various projects in the field of education.
Objective: The aim of the program is to provide young people with a chance to gain practical work experience related to their qualifications or future careers. In the program, you can encounter new tasks and acquire appropriate skills by completing these tasks. Also, this internship program will give you the opportunity to work effectively in a variety of environments, communicate with people, interact, gain digital skills and test yourself in projects that fit your qualifications.
Working hours: part-time / full-time
Age: 17-25
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To support the organization of projects and trainings;
- To translate documents and correspondence from English into Azerbaijani and vice versa;
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes for meetings;
- Any other duties assigned by management.
Minimum qualities required:
- To be a recent graduate of a higher education institution or currently a student
- Excellent knowledge of English and Azerbaijani (knowledge of Russian and other languages will be preferred)
- computer knowledges
- Ability to express ideas clearly
- Ability to show initiative, work independently and agility to take advantage of experience
Status: Upon completion of the internship, all interns will be issued a certificate and suitable candidates will be provided with jobs. No salary is paid during the internship.
