The delegation of Al Jazeera Media Network and famous American singer Della Miles paid a visit to Shusha on August 6, organized by the International Eurasian Press Fund (IEPF). According to EDNews.net, the visit, which was accompanied by IEPF President Umud Mirzayev, was also attended by IEPF Culture Ambassador and Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Gochag Asgarov, Della Miles's manager Fuat Oktay, as well as a number of representatives of media agencies.
During the visit, the foreign guests got acquainted with a number of historical and cultural sites in the city of Shusha. The delegation prayed at the Upper Govharaga Mosque.
Then, they visited the shot statues of famous figures of Azerbaijani culture Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeyir Hajibeyli in the central square of Shusha, as well as the main spring of city "Isa spring".
In the visit, the participants were informed about the historical and cultural heritage of Shusha, at the same time the guests visited the places that were subjected to Armenian vandalism during the occupation, and witnessed the Armenian atrocities.
Furthermore, the guests have been informed about the huge reconstruction work carried out by the Azerbaijani state in the liberated territories, as well as the restoration and construction process in Shusha.
It should be noted that at the initiative of International Eurasia Press Fund, the delegation of Al Jazeera Media Network has been visiting Azerbaijan since August 1. IEPF and Al Jazeera have been cooperating for many years.
The delegation is led by Sami Al Hajj, Director of the Center for Public Freedoms and Human Rights of Al Jazeera Media Network. The purpose of their visit is to get acquainted with the situation in the liberated regions, as well as to prepare reports on various topics about our country. During the visit, the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ADA University, the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the International Eurasian Press Fund jointly organized trainings for Azerbaijani media representatives of Al Jazeera Media Network on "Journalists' Behavior in Conflict Zones: Security and Protection Rules". The five days training program was attended by 20 representatives from various media outlets. After training, a part of the delegation left for Shusha, and the other part left for filming in the Fuzuli region.
As a part of their visit, the world-famous singer, American vocalist Della Miles and Honored Artist Gochag Asgarov visited Fizuli on August 5, and the city of Shush on August 6. After the completion of her visit, American singer left Baku for Istanbul.
It is worth note that a few days ago, the IEPF office hosted a presentation of Della Miles' "Karabakh is Azerbaijan" clip. The main purpose of the American singer's visit to Baku was to visit the liberated lands of Karabakh after the 44-day war, to get acquainted with Armenian vandalism and to perform a song of poem "Kharibulbul" composed by Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva. At present, after the completion of the "Kharibulbul" composition, a big music clip is planned to be presented in Shusha.
Della Miles was born in a family of musicians in Texas. He moved to Los Angeles at a young age. Here he played Ella, the protagonist of Michael Jackson's famous musical "Sisterella". Miles, best known for his performances in the show, later became the vocalist of many singers, including Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. She currently lives in Istanbul, Turkey.
