The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Azerbaijan James Lyall Sharp visited the regional office of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) in Tartar

IEPF President Umud Mirzayev said the main purpose of the British ambassador's visit was to get acquainted with the development projects in the region, as well as the activities of ANAMA and its partners. During the visit, Ambassador James Lyall Sharp was closely introduced with the activities of the IEPF Community Mine Action Team, which has been operating in the region for many years, and the British company RPS Energy Limited.

At the IEPF Regional Vocational Training Centre, President Umud Mirzayev briefed the guests on the organisation's work in the region, media, education, community development, population welfare and other projects, especially mine safety programs. James Sharp took a close look at the board with the photos of guests visiting the regional office of the organisation, the implemented projects and meetings

 
 
In turn, Shahin Allahverdiyev, Operations Manager of the IEPF Community Mine Action Team, gave detailed information about the formation and activities of the team and the mine clearing operations carried out on behalf of ANAMA.
 
 
During the visit, the ambassador was informed about the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) project organised by the IEPF. James Sharp met with the project coordinator, regional coordinators and instructor. During the meeting at the regional office, instructor Musa Jalalov noted the support of the European Union and UNICEF for the project and spoke about the trainings.
 
Afterwards, the ambassador got acquainted with the real operations in the minefiled and was given detailed information about the ongoing operations. James Sharp also witnessed the process of detonating and defusing mines after getting acquainted with the activities of the RPS Group mine search drone team.
