Igor Kotler, President and Executive Director at Museum of Human Rights, Freedom and Tolerance in New Jersey, USA, was a guest of the International Eurasia Press Fund and met with its President Umud Mirzayev.

EDNews.net reports that the IEPF President informed the guest about Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan, the Karabakh problem, the Patriotic War in the autumn of 2020, as well as the serious mine problem faced after the war. He also spoke about the activities of the organisation he heads, the works that have been done for 30 years for the solution of the conflict.

Umud Mirzayev acquainted the guest with the activities of the analytical information portal Eurasia Diary, as well as the multidirectional activities of the IEPF.

 
During the meeting, Igor Kotler, who works in the field of conflictology, had interesting discussions with Umud Mirzayev on the Karabakh problem, as well as the origin of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. The guest offered the IEPF President to cooperate in the investigation and settlement of conflicts, noting that he will visit Tbilisi and Yerevan after Baku. Also noting his intention to work closely with the IEPF, Kotler said he wanted to hold joint seminars with the foundation on conflict resolution and the mine issue, emphasising that he could be a mediator in the dialogue between Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society institutions.

Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Igor Kotler moved to the United States in 1987. He studied history at the University of California, Los Angeles, and later taught Jewish, Russian, Soviet, American, and world history at the same university, as well as at the University of Judaism, Golden Gate University, and other universities, including religion at Phoenix University.

Historian I. Kotler is the author of more than 30 articles and books in three languages. He has co-edited three books in English and Russian on conferences on the Holocaust and anti-Semitism. Igor Kotler is also a member of the New Jersey State Commission on Holocaust Education. He has attended numerous conferences on anti-Semitism, racism and xenophobia in the United States, Russia, Germany and Latvia, including the UNHCR Refugee Congress in 2011.
