The International Eurasia Press Fund, enjoying the General consultative status of the UN ECOSOC since 2014 has received a letter from the NGO Branch of the UN DESA. The letter asked the IEPF to use its experience in assisting NGOs seeking consultative status with the UN ECOSOC and to share the announcement regarding the application process.

Open Call for NGOs to apply for Consultative Status with the United Nations (Deadline: 1 June 2022). The IEPF, which has been working with the UN and its agencies since its inception, is ready to provide full support to interested NGOs and urges them to be active. It should be noted that the IEPF has received the special consultative status of the UN ECOSOC in 2007.

NGOs interested in applying for ECOSOC consultative status should submit their application and required documents on or before the deadline 1 June 2022. The following link provides background information, the benefits and instructions how to apply:

As you might be aware, May is the last month for Non-Governmental Organizations to apply for consultative status with ECOSOC if they wish to be considered by the NGO Committee in 2023. Those interested should submit their application and required documents on or before the deadline, 1 June 2022.

We would like to appeal to you to reach your network to join in the global effort. With that objective, we would like to kindly request you to post the following announcement on your website or social media platform encouraging NGOs to apply for ECOSOC consultative status on or before 1 June 2022.”
