We visited Fuzuli for the selection of the territory to start the implementation of the "Mines to Vines" project, which will be implemented in Azerbaijan within the framework of the joint cooperation of "Roots of Peace", IEPF and ANAMA.We were accompanied by Vugar Salimov, director of the Viticulture Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Madat Mammadov, regional operations manager of ANAMA. We inspected the land located in the valley between AşağıAbdülrahmanli and YukharıAbdülrahmanli villages of Fuzuli district. The area, which used to be vineyards, is located in a valley along the Cheraken River and is heavily contaminated by mines.A decision will be made by the Ministry in the near future regarding the territory with an area of approximately 500 hectares. Later, we will start a campaign for international donors and foreign investors to support the implementation of the project. Indeed, huge funds are required to clear the area in question.

I believe that this project will play an important role in transforming Karabakh into a Gulistan. Good luck!
