A well-known public figure Heidi Kun's visit to Azerbaijan continues. The founder of Roots of Peace, a humanitarian non-profitable organisation, is in Azerbaijan at the invitation of the International Eurasia Press Fund and with the support of ANAMA.
Heidi Kuhn, who is know internationally and in Afghanistan for increasing agricultural exports from $ 250 million to $ 1.4 billion in six years, has been to Shamakhi region, one of the viticultural cities of Azerbaijan. Shamakhi has also a long tradition of winemaking.
H. Kuhn has got acquainted with the viticulture and winemaking complex in Meysari village of Shamakhi. Accompanying the guest, the head of executive committee of Shamakhi region Tahir Mammadov, IEPF President Umud Mirzayev, ANAMA Deputy Chairman Samir Poladov have discussed the importance of increasing the export potential of wine products and informing the public about the history of wine production in Azerbaijan.
At the end of the visit, the guests have symbolically planted a grape tree with the participation of Heidi Kuhn and conveyed a message of peace to the world.
Noting that Heidi Kuhn will continue her visit in Azerbaijan until March 5. During the visit, she will meet with government officials, international organisations, mine victims, media and civil society organisations.
