An event titled “Water Scarcity, Human Rights and Transboundary Water Governance” was held in Geneva on the margins of the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council.
 

The event was jointly organized by the Global Institute for Water, Environment and Health (GIWEH), the Youth Parliament for the Sustainable Development Goals, and the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF).
 

The discussions focused on water scarcity, the management of transboundary water resources, human rights, environmental security, and interstate cooperation.
 

The sessions were attended by IEPF President Umud Mirzayev, representatives of the Foundation, including John Ayomide, as well as Sahib Mammadov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK).
 

At the conclusion of the event, the importance of the equitable distribution of water resources, information exchange, joint monitoring, and cooperative management of transboundary waters was emphasized.
