On May 12, the ceremony of the book "Breaking Ground" of Heidi Thomas Kuhn, who is founder and CEO of international humanitarian organization "Roots of Peace" dedicated to the danger of mines and translated into Azerbaijani language has been presented.
Ednews informs that Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), Umud Mirzayev, the President of the IEPF, Heidi Kuhn, the founder and CEO of the "Roots of Peace" NGO, rector of the Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov, as well as members of the Public Council and students of BHOS are attended at the event held in the administrative building of the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS).
The book "Breaking Ground" presents the horror of landmines and explosive munitions, the terror of landmines in countries affected by landmines and war, and the scene Heidi Kuhn witnessed with her own eyes.
The book also reflects the successes achieved by the "Roots of Peace" organization in the years after its establishment in combating landmines with agricultural projects, revitalizing destroyed lands, and positively affecting the lives of countless people in this process.
