The delegation of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) visited the headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, with the aim of participating in the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council and organizing a side event during the session. The delegation included IEPF President Umud Mirzayev, Program Department staff member John Ayomide, and the organization's special representative Nik Nvolisa. As part of the visit, meetings with UN officials and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) represented in Geneva are also planned.
It is worth noting that the side event titled "Children's Rights in Conflict Zones" will be organized by IEPF with the support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event will take place on March 27 at 18:00 Baku time in Conference Room 25 of the UN Geneva office. The event will address the rights of minors who have been affected by the devastating consequences of modern conflicts, including Azerbaijani children who were deported from their homeland at the end of the 1980s and became victims of the First and Second Nagorno-Karabakh wars.
